The left cheek’s teeth– and check out the spines on the inside of the cheek! Keratinous growths to aid in chewing, food movement, digestion etc. These extend into the stomach, too! Amazed me first time I saw them, in an okapi (giraffe cousin).

Hi John, I’m a Vet Student in Adelaide, Australia. Just wondering if you have an more pics on the Giraffe, in particular Muscle of Mastication. I am dissecting a Giraffe head for my 3rd year project and there seems to be limited information on this. Cheers.
