		<description><![CDATA[A few years ago, while working in Kenya, I had the wonderful opportunity to dissect a ground pangolin (Manis temminckii). The tongue did reach all the way back to the pelvis - actually I remember it attaching pretty far back on the rump, but not at the sacrum. However, the photos I have do not show the point of attachment very well and my memory could be wrong. The photos do clearly show the tongue extending beyond stomach into the pelvic region, and photos of the dissected tongue show it to be nearly the length of the body. I would be happy shore these photos with you if you are interested.
